Open Question: Anyonewho knows how to get into medical school and if you are personally going or went to yale answer ?

I live in Whittier California and I deprately want to become a doctor. I figured that it would look better on a college application to have volunteering at a hospital on there. So what I'm asking is what else can I do to get a higher chance of hopefully getting into Yale university's medical program and which hospitals near Whittier California are letting people volunteer at their hospitals? (please try to answer both questions and if you went to Yale please explain in detail what steps you took to make it into Yale and what you did to increase your chances) oh by the way I volunteer at lamiradas l.i.t program (leaders in training) every summer and I have at least two hundred hours of community service done but I feel the need to volunteer at a hospital.
